Separate type cordless stick vacuum cleaner MC-NS10K Release date: October 25, 2021 Estimated selling price: Around 65,000 yen Panasonic https://news.panasonic.com/jp/press/data/2021 /09/jn210921-1/jn210921-1.html

Oh! Pana is putting out something interesting again! !

Panasonic announced on September 21st a separate cordless stick vacuum cleaner with a dust box separated from the stick body and built into the charging base.

After cleaning, connect the main body of the stick vacuum cleaner to the charging stand "Clean Base" equipped with a paper pack with a dust collection capacity of about 0.8L, and the filter case (about 0.05L) of the main body will start charging. Automatically collects the accumulated garbage in a clean base paper pack.

Throw away paper cartons about once a month. Since the paper pack is simply closed and thrown away, there is no need for the dust that tends to be thrown away by a stick vacuum cleaner.

Can be exchanged about once a month (from YouTube)

By separating the dust box, the main body of the stick vacuum cleaner has a lightweight design of 1.5 kg. The weight on hand is about 0.45 kg, so that it can be operated lightly.

Hand weight is light at about 0.45 kg and can be vacuumed easily

The main unit and clean dock have a simple design that blends into the space. The color is clean white. The shape is slender like a broom, and it seems that there is no sense of incongruity even if it is in the living room.

Design that does not feel so uncomfortable even in the living room

The main brush uses a "non-entangling brush" that prevents hair from getting entangled. The tangle-free brush is included in the company's stick vacuum cleaner, and it's really stress-free because it doesn't tangle.

The main brush is a small version that does not get entangled with hair.

The suction power is the lowest among the company's cordless stick vacuum cleaners. However, compared to other companies' lightweight cordless stick vacuum cleaners, it has a suction power that is "equivalent or better and can be used as a main vacuum cleaner" (company PR).

The amount of noise when collecting dust from the filter case of the main unit to the paper pack of the clean dock is about 69 to 27 dB, which is about the same as when driving a general vacuum cleaner. The suggested retail price of the genuine paper pack was 946 yen including tax with 10 sheets.

There have been robot vacuum cleaners with a clean base so far, but this is the first stick vacuum cleaner with a clean base in Japan. The bottlenecks of stick vacuum cleaners were the weight of the main unit and the troublesomeness of throwing away garbage, so the impact of solving both of these issues at once is huge.

Since it is a lightweight model, the suction power seems to be moderate, but there is definitely a need.

It's interesting that Pana's home appliances are attacking these days. A “layout-free” TV with a separate tuner and display, and a “My Spec” microwave oven and rice cooker that allow you to add the necessary functions later. And this time it's a separate stick vacuum cleaner. It makes me happy when a long-established store puts out something interesting. Give me more like this!
