Volvo Cars, 'Google Assistant' enabled Volvo Cars to launch service directly linked to devices...First automaker to launch service to directly link with

Volvo Cars announced on January 5 that it will be the first automaker to launch a service that works directly with Google Assistant-enabled devices. Photo: A service that works directly with Volvo Cars' Google Assistant-enabled devices. Volvo Cars users will be able to control various functions in their cars through voice commands on their Google Assistant-enabled home and mobile devices. By pairing a Volvo car with a Google account, users will be able to talk directly to Google in the car and remotely control various functions. For example, on a cold winter day, the inside of the car can be warmed up in advance, or the car can be locked. This integration will allow users to remotely receive information related to their vehicle at any time. In the future, features such as charging schedules are planned that allow users to set specific times when they want to start charging. For operations that require higher security, such as unlocking a car, two-step verification ensures that only the right people hear or access the right information at the right time. The feature will roll out in select regions where Google Assistant is available in the coming months for all Volvo users with Android-powered infotainment connected to the Volvo Cars app and a Google Assistant-enabled device. It is planned.
