Futuristic shower head Nebia Shower System review: Your bathroom will be a mess, but you'll feel like a celebrity

How does it feel to use a water-saving shower?

Tim Cook and other tech moguls are obsessed with the premium water-saving Nebia shower head. Here's a review by Harrison Weber of Gizmodo, who actually installed it at home.

Instead of a normal shower, imagine standing in a rain cloud every morning. The shower curtain sways in the wind and makes a sound, and the hot, humid air envelops you like a thick fog. That's exactly what the Nebia shower system, which has captivated tech moguls without any smart features, feels like. It doesn't have sensors, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi, but it's a dream come true.

What is this? : Billionaire-invested shower system Price: $650 (about 73,000 yen) Likes: Saves water and creates a pleasant mist Dislikes: Needs a mop for puddles in the bathroom

Nobody believed me at Gizmodo, but I was captivated by Nebia's quirky water-saving design. Like the thousands of Kickstarter backers, as well as obsessed investors like Tim Cook, Eric Schmidt, the founders of Airbnb and Fitbit. It's a masterpiece of sleek shower design and a perfect match for eco-friendly mist showers.

I can't deny that I was a little worried about the delay in installing it at first. After watching the installation video, I thought I might mess up the bathroom. A water pipe breaks, or a tile is shattered, and so on.

A fairly large box of Nebia sat on the floor of my apartment for days before I decided to install it. Inside the box, you'll find a one-piece fixed circular shower head bracket, a hand shower, a magnetic mount, and attachments to suit any shower type.

The minimalist design of smooth aluminum and white plastic is like something Jonathan Ive would design a few years after he retired. And the price range is $ 650 (about 70,000 yen), just like an Apple product. If you can afford that kind of money for a shower, you can hire someone to install it, but you don't have to.

I was able to remove the original shower head and arm without any tools... 2 round trips to the DIY shop, watching a few instructional videos on how to use a spanner, plus Nebia co-founder Philip After an emergency FaceTime with Mr. Winter, who showed me how to squeeze and twist a water pipe.

From there it was pretty easy. Simply measure the length of the water pipe in the wall, carefully apply Teflon tape, screw in the attachment, and then attach the unit to the tile. A handy person with some plumbing experience could have installed it in about 30 minutes.

To put it bluntly, the concern is that it will break due to water pressure. Also, it's been four weeks since installation and thankfully the shower still hasn't collapsed on me. If you're worried about installing this, I'm safe now so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Near Future Shower Head Nebia Shower System Review : Your bathroom will be messy, but you can feel like a celebrity.

Using Nebia replaces the shower-like stream you used to use with a thick fog ring. "Atomized" water sprays out. Especially in the early morning when my head is in a daze, I feel like I'm standing in a waterfall, so to speak. Good for me at least. But after using the Nebia out of the box, there were a few downsides.

If I had to describe this shower in one word, it would be either "drenching" or "extremely drenching." Your bathroom will be wetter than usual unless you make the shower curtain tighter to the wall or heavier. Fixed shower heads and hand showers create misty airflows that sometimes create puddles outside the bathtub. But the bathroom gets wet, so it's not a big problem. Wipe the floor with a towel and you'll be fine.

Water droplets on walls, floors and ceilings may seem like a waste, but Nebia claims that the most efficient settings can save up to 70% of the water used in a conventional shower. claim. Even on the most wasteful setting (my favourite), which churns out a strong mist from both the hand shower and the fixed shower head, you can save 40% water.

The amount of water saved might make you wonder if the Nebia shower is running low on water. Nebia says tiny nozzles turn a full pipe of water into millions of tiny droplets. As a result, it feels like you're surrounded by floating water, but it's not as effective as a regular shower at washing away soap. When I talked about this at work, my co-workers kept saying, "That sucks." However, it takes a little time and Nebia is enough to wash it off. Even my girlfriend, who has a lot of hair, said it was easy to remove with a lot of shampoo and conditioner.

However, there is one point that I agree with her. Sometimes the shower doesn't feel warm. No matter how hot the water was, it felt cold as soon as I took a bath. Mist blows out under the shower head and warms the air, but the air cools the spray. If you live in a place like New York that gets extremely cold in the winter, you may need to take measures. Run the shower for a few minutes before entering, close the door, and turn off the exhaust fan. This will solve your problem to some extent. But this will make the bathroom extra wet. It also goes against the idea of an eco-friendly shower.

I'm totally obsessed with Nebia, but I don't think it's a bit different to recommend a 70,000-yen fixed shower head and hand shower to someone. I had never thought of upgrading my shower before, but suddenly this misting machine made me fall in love with luxury bathroom products. Like the tech millionaires who invested in it, I've lost my way. It's crazy now.

If you're looking for a little upgrade to your shower, or want to save water, you're better off with a cheaper, more reasonable shower head. If what you're looking for is a normal shower, all the better. If not, you're probably attracted to the brand Nebia.

Some people will be comfortable with this price. If you own an apartment or house, investing may make it easier to sell. If you pay your water bill, depending on where you live, Nebia could save you money in the long run. Or maybe it's for those who want to feel like a tech billionaire.

The skeptics won't believe me until I try, but I'm sure. This shower is the product of an overpriced dream, a luxurious experience that can transform even the oldest bathroom. I really can't afford this, not at all, but if I ever get rich, I'll say yes.

Summary

・I feel great.

・Probably different from the shower you have used so far.

・$650 is certainly expensive for a shower head upgrade.

・Eco friendly is good. Water splatters everywhere, but it's worth it to roll back.
